Liverpool ‘Loving’ MerseySTEM Robotics Challenge at LightNight Festival
Team MerseySTEM were honoured to take part in this year’s Liverpool LightNight Festival at our new STEM Studio at Baltic Creative. We were also overjoyed to be listed as the Number 1 festival activity for children in the Liverpool Echo! A HUGE thank you to everyone who attended and took part in our Robotics Challenge.
LightNight arts & culture festival took place on Friday 13 May 2016. Both children and adults experienced an unforgettable evening of more than 100 free events including light projections, exhibitions, performances, talks, walks, tours, dance and hands-on activities.
It was a fantastic way to explore, experiment and celebrate the city’s world-class creativity and culture
MerseySTEM joined in the fun with a Robotics Challenge similar to our schools events but for the first time, we opened to the public! Family festival goers battled it out, navigated our maze, controlled the bots blindfold and raced like professionals.

What an amazing night! We can’t wait for next year…
