September Event: Chemistry at Work

A huge thank you to our school groups, The Royal Society of Chemistry and Daresbury Laboratory for helping to make our Chemistry at Work Event such a huge success!

Chemistry at Work 2014
The children loved the hands-on learning experiences and left with a real sense of how Chemistry applies in the real world. They were also most impressed by the Science and Technology Facilities Council, so much so they wanted to take selfies with Alan our guest speaker!

…And speaking of selfies, here’s one our Managing Director just couldn’t resist. Can you spot her?

Chemistry at Work events offer school students the opportunity to appreciate the place of chemistry in everyday life and the world of work, with particular emphasis on what is happening in their local area.

They aim to show a positive image of the chemical sciences and to present them as exciting, interesting and wealth-creating activities that are worth considering as the basis of a career.

We have more Chemistry at Work events coming up in October and November, book now – it’s free!
