STEM Ambassadors: I’m an Engineer – Get me Out of Here! – Space Zone

I’m an Engineer, Get me out of here, is an online event that gets engineers talking to students all over the UK at imanengineer.org.uk.

From June 15th – 26th there will be a Space for All Zone, funded by the UK Space Agency, and engineers are needed to take part!

Engineers answer students’ questions, and engage directly with them in live text-based chats. Students vote for their favourite researcher to win £500 to spend on further public engagement.

Read more and apply to take part before Sunday May 3rd at imanengineer.org.uk/engineers

As a STEM Ambassador, I’m an Engineer is a great way to dip your toes in public engagement. You will develop your communication skills, build new networks, gain a fresh perspective on your work, and find out what young people think about engineering.

Most engineers say they spend around two hours a day in the event, half of which can be in the evening, outside the work day.
