AstraZeneca put the BIG in The Big Bang North West 2015!

We were overjoyed to have AstraZeneca (Liverpool) return as our Headline Sponsor for The Big Bang North West 2015. AstraZeneca were so proud of the amazing things we achieved together in 2014, they wanted to make 2015’s event even BIGGER AND BETTER, just like us – and they did!

AstraZeneca brought so many amazing things for our Big Bang North West attendees including ‘laboratory testing, biotech manufacturing process activities and quality testing’. In Big Bang terms that meant getting hands-on with chemicals, microscopes, thermal imaging cameras and much, much more! “Miss! Look at me, I’m all red!”

…And every child wanted to suit up ‘AZ style!’ Awesome!

AstraZeneca also sponsored The National Science + Engineering Competition. Judging took place at The Big Bang North West and judges (including The Gadget Show’s Dallas Campbell) were overwhelmed by the incredible, inspiring and innovative projects our entrants brought to the fore.

“AstraZeneca in Liverpool is strengthening its manufacturing capability by innovating and investing in new technologies as well as increasing exports, improving skills and building supply chains. The greatest challenge for us is to have a deep and broad talent pool to draw from. By encouraging local children to see excitement and opportunities in science and engineering, the Big Bang and National Science and Engineering Competition help to develop World Class talent on our doorstep.”
