TIPS (Teacher Industrial Partners’ Scheme) – Get Involved!

TIPS (Teacher Industrial Partners’ Scheme) is all about bringing the world of industry into the classroom.

Teachers of science, technology, engineering, maths and computing can apply to attend a placement with a local employer followed by a package of face to face and online CPD delivered by the National Science Learning Network.

Victoria Madden, a teacher from our STEM Spotlight School Beamont Collegiate Academy found it an amazing experience.

Why get involved with TIPS?

•It is a great opportunity for teachers to gain inside knowledge of different industries and feed it back to their students, giving them vital information about careers in these industries.
•It is a perfect opportunity to build a relationship between schools and industries that may be of interest to students.
•It can open doors to work experience opportunities, possible grants, work schemes and gain a greater understanding of the diverse range of career options available for students.
•The chance to develop your knowledge of careers available in engineering, technology and other STEM related opportunities.
