Engineering HerStories: Magnificent Women Competition!

The Women’s Engineering Society celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2019 and as part of the celebrations they will be featuring 52 Magnificent Women from history who have been involved in UK engineering over the past 100 years.

They are challenging students to come up with the stories of these forgotten women and retell them through their Magnificent Women Resource Sheets, which we will be released in the run up to the centenary, and then one per week in the year 2019.

The Challenge

WES would like students to research lesser known British women engineers and tell their stories in the most engaging way possibly through posters, blogs, letters, videos, plays, or any means possible so they can capture the stories of these magnificent women, and retell them to the next generation.

Students can either produce a resource sheet of their own choice using the template provided, or find an alternate way of presenting the information.

The competition is open to 14-18 year olds and closes on the 23rd of June 2016. There are some AMAZING prizes!
