‘People Like Me’ Training
Wednesday 22nd June, 2016, 4-6.30pm The Pod, Baltic Creative Campus Jordan Street, Liverpool L1 0BP
Due to the success of, and high demand for places on, our recent STEM Ambassador training sessions, based around the Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) resources ‘People Like Me’, we are planning an additional session on Wednesday 22nd June.
People Like Me Training provides STEM Ambassadors with an overview of the issue of unconscious bias and how it can lead to girls deciding that STEM is ‘not for them’. It also teaches STEM Ambassadors how to deliver engaging People Like Me activities in schools with girls aged 11-14.
Plus you get to visit our super cool STEM Shed in the wonderful Baltic Creative Campus.

STEM Spotlight Workshop
We’re also hosting a series of STEM Spotlight Workshops, initiated by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, to bring together interested parties from a range of backgrounds to discuss employer/school engagement; what works, what doesn’t, what we can all do to make processes easier and more effective. The sessions have been

We currently have a good spread of attendees booked on from business, education and other partners and so the session should provide lots of useful ideas and will be an opportunity to share good practice and network with other STEM Ambassadors and teachers.
