The Big Bang North West 2016: Virtual Reality 3D Gaming with Priestley College

Look forward to a virtual world with Priestley College at The Big Bang North West!

“At The Big Bang North West, staff and Student Ambassadors will be available to talk to visitors about College Life and the huge range of courses available at Priestley.  Visitors to the stand will also have the opportunity to try out the Oculus Rift – a virtual reality headset for 3D gaming.”

Priestley College, in Warrington, was the first sixth form college to achieve STEM Assured Status, and the first to be revalidated again this year.  Priestley is renowned for its caring ethos and long track record of fantastic pass rates across A-Level and Vocational programmes.

Priestley offers a choice of more than 70 A Level and Vocational qualifications, with hundreds of possible combinations.

A £1.5 million state-of-the-art Technology Centre was opened in 2014, with a further £835,000 invested in a new science laboratory and an upgraded computer network and infrastructure.

Computer Games design students benefit from using the latest technology – including the Oculus Rift, which allows them to test out their 3D designed games.
