All About STEM to lead NEW STEM Ambassador Hub Merseyside & Cheshire

New STEM Ambassador Hub launched in Merseyside & Cheshire

All About STEM has been announced as the lead organisation for the STEM Ambassador Hub Merseyside & Cheshire. The Hub will connect teachers, leaders of non-school groups, STEM Ambassadors and employers in order to inspire the next generation of STEM professionals.

The STEM Ambassador Hub Merseyside & Cheshire is one in a network of 19 Hubs that will manage the volunteering opportunities for the UK’s 33,000 registered STEM Ambassadors. The network is managed by the National STEM Learning Centre and Network, which works to enable more young people to enjoy, achieve and progress in STEM subjects and STEM related careers. Yvonne Baker, Chief Executive of the organisation, said:

“We are delighted to be integrating the prestigious STEM Ambassadors programme, alongside our network of Science Learning Partnerships, and other projects supporting STEM education.

“We have been given a wonderful opportunity to further develop our real, significant and sustained impact on STEM education and STEM skills.

“However, we cannot do this alone – our partnerships with the STEM Ambassador Hubs, Science Learning Partnerships and our partners in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, are fundamental to our success.”

All About STEM do amazing things to promote Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths in schools, business, the community & beyond. Managing Director Michelle Dow, said:

STEM Learning operates the National STEM Learning Centre and Network, alongside other projects supporting STEM education, including the STEM Ambassadors programme.
