Companies & Organisations: You can inspire students at the Formby High School Career Festival!
As part of their programme of Careers Education Information Advice and Guidance, Formby High School are holding two exciting careers events during Spring 2017. They are looking for companies and organisations to take part in their careers fair and practice interviews.
Continuing from the success of last year’s events, they hope to engage dynamic professionals to inspire their students. This is an exciting opportunity for students to meet representatives from a wide range of professions in order to inform their choices in the coming months.
CAREERS FAIR – Wednesday 18 January 2017
Formby High would like to encourage local and regional organisations to set up a stall in their ‘marketplace’ from 9:30am until 3:30pm. Year 9 and Year 11 students will be timetabled to visit the fair and find out about possible careers and future education routes during the day.
PRACTICE INTERVIEWS – Tuesday 28 February and/or Wednesday 1 March
Over two days, the school will offer each of their Year 11 students a 30 minute 1:1 interview with a local professional. If you are available to offer your support by offering your services as an interviewer, you will be interviewing up to 8 students throughout the day.
Formby High will provide guidance by email detailing the format of the interviews, sample questions and the type of feedback which could be offered to each student. In order to ensure all students receive an interview, the school require as many professional volunteers as possible. Interviews take place between 9:00am and 3:30pm with a breakfast briefing for all interviewers at 8:30 am with School Careers Coordinator, Mrs Belinda Halton.
