Young Enterprise: Girls STEM Careers Day (Airbus)
Young Enterprise have an exciting Girls STEM Careers Day available, developed in conjunction with Airbus.
This full day workshop is based on a new programme to the Young Enterprise menu and they are expecting it to be a very popular event with schools and girls who have an interest and an aptitude for STEM.
In June 60 female students from educational establishments across the North West, will be guests of Airbus to participate in this interactive, informative and fun masterclass.
Students will have the opportunity to meet women working in STEM careers within Airbus and have a tour of the site.
“This is a perfect opportunity for pupils considering a career in a similar industry. The students will receive a copy of the Young Enterprise STEM Careers booklet highlighting the many roles available and successful routes towards these. Students will also get a STAR Pass booklet and have an opportunity to consider skills they have developed throughout the day. It is going to be a fantastic event enabling your students to make informed decisions about their future.”
Young Enterprise are inviting up to 10 students per schools to take part. Students must be over 14 years old and a have a keen interest in Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths and be considering pursuing a career within this field.
Should you wish to book your girls onto this Masterclass, please email expressing interest in either Monday 12th June or Wednesday 21st June.
The contribution asked by Young Enterprise for up to 10 students from your school is £150.
On receipt of your booking form you will be sent confirmation details and your invoice. If the masterclass is oversubscribed, as has happened for similar events, you will be placed on a waiting list and duly informed. If you gain a place but for some reason need to cancel Young Enterprise must be informed no later than Friday 2nd June.
Places are provided on a strictly first come first served basis.
