Big Bang North West: The ScottishPower Show Stage – PERFORMERS REVEALED!
ScottishPower made a ‘big bang’ of their own at The Big Bang North West 2016 by sponsoring our amazing Show Stage and we are overjoyed that they are returning for 2017.
Our awe-inspiring performance space was one of the highlights for our attendees as they witnessed phenomenal fire demonstrations, mesmerising medical magic, astonishing activities and STEM-sational science! Who will be performing on the ScottishPower Show Stage in 2017? Let’s REVEAL ALL!
Marty Jopson – Science Bloke
The Science of Everyday Life
In this brilliant scientific tour of household science, Dr Marty Jopson addresses conundrums such as: What really makes cakes rise? Why do soap bubbles burst and how you get the quartz out of a clock using a hammer?
Marty will also be channelling Indiana Jones with his latest prop and whipping up a million volts too!
The Human Guinea Pig
Come and meet Tom Warrender, The Human Guinea Pig, at The Big Bang North West and see some of the amazing medical procedures he has been through, just for the fun of it! Tom will also be looking for volunteers to become mini guinea pigs as he runs a series of demos live on stage!
Museum of Science and Industry
In this energetic, fun and investigative science show, you will learn how to think scientifically and harness the energy of explosions. We need your scientific enquiry skills to discover the fuel source of an accidental historical explosion. On our journey to discover the difference between fire and explosions, we’ll make a dust flame-thrower, stun you with steam and even pop cow trumps!
