Book Now! Engineering Your Future Events: Inspire Young Engineers
We are very excited to announce the 2018 dates for Engineering Your Future!
We encourage all schools and colleges to book early as these are very popular events which are FREE to attend!
You can now book onto the Liverpool & Warrington events taking place on:
We are initially limiting places to 5 students per school/college to ensure as many institutions as possible are able to be a part of the event. We may be able to take larger groups upon request. Warrington & surrounding area schools will get priority for the Halliwell Jones event.
This year the events are FREE TO ATTEND and include a free lunch for students!
What is Engineering Your Future?
This series of one-day career events has been established to provide an opportunity for attendees to see that engineering is a career worth pursuing, and help them make an informed choice. It is jointly coordinated and sponsored by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, the Institution of Civil Engineers, the Institution of Engineering and Technology, the Institution of Chemical Engineers, and is fully supported by us here at All About STEM.
Who should attend?
This informative and hands-on event is, ideally, aimed at 16-18 year old students who are studying science, maths or engineering at GNVQ or A-Level, to attend together with their STEM subject teachers.
What happens on the day?
The day is split into 4 or 5 workshop sessions providing insights into areas such as Mechanical, Civil, Electrical/Electronic, Chemical or Nuclear Engineering; each of which lasts approximately 40 minutes. Attendees will be split into groups and each group allocated a mentor Engineer for the day.
They will learn about different areas & aspects of engineering from the companies and organisations invited, along with a marketplace session offering more information on ‘Routes into Engineering’. The workshop sessions are designed to be practical and interactive and provide an insight into life as a professional Engineer or Technician.
There will also be opportunity for teachers to chat & network with All About STEM staff regarding our work with schools, teachers and business.
