FREE Smart Factory Expo STEM Afternoon for Students (14+)

Bring your students to the Smart Factory Expo STEM Afternoon from 1.30pm onwards on 15th November!

Tour the exhibition and interact with exhibitors, which represent the UK’s technology sector.

This event is aimed at pupils aged 14+.

The STEM Afternoon offers:

• 2pm – Career Q&A

Andy Schofield, Head of Manufacturing, BAE Systems – the head of manufacturing in one of the UK’s industrial champions, and an exemplar of world-class manufacturing that is ‘Made in Britain’.

Rajkaran Singh Kharbanda, Head of Aerospace, Defence, & Marine – UK Strategic Programmes – a leading advocate for diversity and inclusion initiatives within Siemens, one of the world’s largest manufacturers.

• 2.30pm – Career Q&A

Bernard Malloy, Global Logistics Director, Unipart – a Liverpudlian in a senior management position at one of the UK’s leading manufacturers and logistics companies.

Nicol Low, Head of Production, Vert Rotors – ask ‘how to’ questions of the operational head of one of Scotland’s most innovative manufacturers, an award-winning SME that is really going places.

• Afternoon – ‘Best of British Showcase’ & ‘The Manufacturer Top 500

These two showcases in the atrium of Exhibition Centre Liverpool are static displays of manufactured products, and the award-winning people that make them. Displays offer students the opportunity to see different career paths of apprentices and managers in some of the UK’s most successful manufacturers.

Registration for the Smart Factory Expo (which includes access to all of the above) is FREE!

Each school representative is required to register (select the ‘Smart Factory Expo Student Visitor’ ticket type from drop down menu); individual students do not have to register.

Smart Factory Expo is Europe’s biggest showcase for the Fourth Industrial Revolution – a revolution in manufacturing agility, innovation and thinking. This year, the event is doubling in size to include the whole of Exhibition Centre Liverpool and is on track to attract 6000 attendees from technology, finance and manufacturing. There will be over 250 exhibitors, and visitors will have the opportunity to choose from over 200 free-to-attend presentations sessions.
