Polar Explorer resources
The Polar Explorer Programme encourages and supports schools who are keen to raise aspirations and attainment in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and aims to inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers.
Three new resources have been added to the Polar Explorer collection:
Y6-Y7 Transition Project Resource
Polar Explorer Cookbook
Careers Booklet
“STEM Learning impact survey responses show 100% of teachers involved in the Polar Explorer Programme agree pupil enjoyment and engagement in STEM subject lessons increased, with 68% of teachers stating this was to a great extent.”
New STEM Clubs resources
Six exciting new resources have been launched to support the STEM Clubs programme:
- Extreme elements (7-9)
- Sounds amazing! (9-11)
- Survival STEM: Can you survive an asteroid impact? (11-14)
- Survival STEM: Could you survive on a desert island? (11-14)
- Survival STEM: Can you survive a zombie apocalypse? (11-14)
- Survival STEM: Save the world with STEM (14-16)
The resources are all free to download, and are packed full of fun, hands-on activities to develop young people’s enthusiasm within science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) subjects and careers.
