First Tech Challenge: Volunteer as a Game Changer!

FIRST Tech Challenge events are fuelled by a squad of passionate volunteers who give up their time to create epic experiences – The Game Changers! Whether you’re a seasoned event pro or a total newbie you can help make their competitions out of this world.

FIRST® UK is a charity driven by young people and fuelled by industry mentors, using robots to spark the curiosity needed to explore, challenge and grow. They are investing in the young people who will transform our future – equipping the next generation with the technical know-how and life skills needed to take on tomorrow’s opportunities.

Their vision is to make STEM less intimidating, more accessible and diverse – using robots and inspirational role models from industry to fuel a talent pipeline of future innovators.

“We’re not looking for rocket scientists (although kudos if you are). You don’t need to be a tech guru – just possess the energy, enthusiasm and commitment to inspire.”

Volunteers include:

The techies

Perhaps you love a good gadget, work in tech or simply like robots. Our techies troubleshoot and provide technical support, making sure teams and their bots are game ready.

The gamers

You like to be at the heart of the action! On the game field or running matches like clockwork, you’ll be keeping scores in check and calling out foul play.

The organisers

You love a good to-do list and have an unhealthy appreciation for spreadsheets – here’s perfect excuse to flex your project management muscles and keep the show going.
