Students 14 or over? Try a CREST Silver Challenge!

CREST Silver Awards challenge your 14+ year old students as they run their own STEM projects in teams or individually.

Learners develop their own ideas, complete their own research and gain in-depth experience of scientific methods or engineering processes.

What’s the challenge?

Students work independently or in groups to plan and run a project addressing a real-world STEM problem.

No two CREST projects are the same! Students can do different types of projects on any STEM subject.

Are resources available?

Yes! You can download inspirational project ideas from the CREST resource library. The secondary getting started and Silver student guides are full of useful hints and tips to help you run CREST with your students.

What do learners get?

Students who achieve their Silver Award receive a personalised certificate.
CREST Silver promotes continued interest in STEM subjects, has been shown to improve GCSE grades and can be used to enhance students’ UCAS personal statements.
