The Great Science Share for Schools!
‘A national campaign nurturing young people’s scientific curiosity.’
The Great Science Share for Schools is all about children communicating something that they have been investigating in science. This starts with a question – a question that the children want to find the answer to!
Each year the campaign culminates in a celebration day (16 June 2020) where children come together to communicate what they have been investigating through an interactive exhibition. These events give the young scientists a platform to share their work, ask more questions and to explore other pupils’ investigations.
In addition to the University of Manchester flagship event at the Whitworth Art Gallery, events are held all over the UK and internationally. Schools, informal education venues, museums, home schools, botanical gardens – anywhere can host Great Science Share for Schools event.
It’s a perfect opportunity to:
- encourage children to share their own scientific questions
- develop teacher confidence in teaching working scientifically
- make connections with scientists and engineers in your local area
Already nearly 250 events have registered, you can register yours here. More information can be found at www.greatscienceshare.org
