STEM Ambassadors in Action: Learners inspired by real-life Polar Explorer!
We love to receive feedback from our STEMsational North West schools and it was fantastic to hear from St Michael in the Hamlet Primary School this week.
All About STEM works with St Micheal in the Hamlet regularly as they are a school dedicated to promoting STEM. For their latest session, we assisted with a real-life explorer to excite and inspire their young learners. STEM Ambassadors are amazing role models, remotely or in-person!
Steve Wroe is a STEM Ambassador on the Polar Explorer Programme, a teacher & an assessor for the British Science Association CREST Awards. He has previously worked on the British Antarctic Survey and within Antarctic research stations.
Year 4 couldn’t wait to ask Steve questions and hear all about his adventures including his favourite part, “sliding across the snow with teams of huskies!”
We’re so happy that Year 4 had ‘a fabulous day!’
Congratulations to them on their phenomenal work and to St Michael in the Hamlet Primary School for ensuring their students continue to have compelling and interactive lessons at this unprecedented time.
Thank you to Steve Wroe for volunteering his time and sharing his expertise and extraordinary experiences!
