Primary CREST Awards: RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch

If you’re encouraging your learners to take part in the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch then you could utilise their observations and further their learning with a CREST Award!

The Big Garden Birdwatch is the world’s largest wildlife survey. Take part between the 29th & 31st of January and do something great for nature! Just choose an hour any time over the three days, relax and enjoy counting beautiful birds! You can sign up here.

Brilliant Birds is one of many CREST Superstar Challenges. The activity is designed to get children thinking about birds, habitats, designing and making.

CREST SuperStar is designed for 7 – 11 year olds, and gives children the chance to participate in hands-on science through enquiry-based learning.

Children receive their own CREST SuperStar passport to record their journey and participate in eight CREST SuperStar challenges, run by you, to complete the award.

Why not try an inspirational & educational video too? This one from Lucy Lapwing is a great starter for ten!
