EngineeringUK bursaries to support STEM in schools
Bursaries are available from EngineeringUK to support schools with young people who are under-represented in the engineering profession to take part in Neon activities or get involved in The Big Bang Competition, taking into account FSM eligibility, the proportion of ethnic minority students, those with special educational needs and rural locations.
There are £300 to £700 bursaries available to support schools to take part in activities listed on the Neon website. The bursary can be spent flexibly, for example, on:
- Paying for a Neon activity
- Teacher cover
- To overcome digital poverty through purchase of digital devices or data
- Resources to support students participating in the activity
- Hiring or buying specialist equipment to complement a Neon activity
There are £500 bursaries available to support schools in taking part in The Big Bang Competition. The bursaries can be used very flexibly, including for:
- Teacher/technician cover
- To overcome digital poverty through purchase of digital devices or data
- Materials for project work (including consumables and equipment)
- Hiring or buying specialist equipment to support activity, this could include software
