CREST Secondary: Bronze Grand Challenges!
If you’re a teacher looking for project ideas, CREST offers an amazing range of resources for ages 5-19!
For secondary students, the Bronze Grand Challenges are a great place to start. Over the course of the project, teams of students design their own investigation, record their findings, and reflect on their learnings. This process gives students a taste of what it is like to be a scientist or engineer in the real world.
“The Industrial Strategy sets out Grand Challenges to put the UK at the forefront of the industries of the future, ensuring that the UK takes advantage of major global changes, improving people’s lives and the country’s productivity.”
The first 4 Grand Challenges are focused on the global trends which will transform our future:
- Artificial Intelligence and Data
- Ageing Society
- Clean Growth
- Future of Mobility
It’s all about developing ideas to make a difference and inspiring the next generation of STEM experts!
