Catalyst Magazine Live! is a series of live STEM subject themed webinars aimed at UK school students aged 13+ studying STEM subjects (KS3, GCSE, A ‘level, Scottish Highers or equivalent) and their educators. The webinars focus on real-world cutting edge scientific research and development.
Weather, Earth and Beyond!
Explore the extraordinary effects of space weather and what it means for our planet. Space weather is the changing environmental conditions in near-Earth space. Magnetic fields, radiation, particles and matter, which have been ejected from the Sun, can interact with the Earth’s upper atmosphere and surrounding magnetic field to produce a variety of effects. Peter will take you on a journey that starts deep in space and ends here on Earth.
