Speakers for Schools: Powered By Poo with United Utilities

Celebrate International Women in Engineering Day with Speakers for Schools on Thursday the 23rd of June (9.30am – 11.30am).

This virtual session will give students a sneak peek into Manchester’s Wastewater Treatment Plant. The award-winning ‘poo-powered’ sludge digestion centre currently produces renewable energy in the form of biogas to generate green electricity.
