Unilever Visit All About STEM Competition School Challenge Day!
In December 2023, All About STEM held an exciting draw offering 10 north west schools the chance to win a STEM Challenge Day worth £1500!
Throughout 2024, All About STEM visited the winning schools and hosted fun hands-on workshops exploring science, technology, engineering and maths. Students enjoyed activities ranging from ‘coding with jam butties’ to creating biodegradable edible water bottles!
Schools were also given the opportunity to enter the All About STEM Competition sponsored by Unilever. The competition invites learners aged 9 – 16 from across the north west of England to design a new product, item or idea that solves a problem facing our world, or the people in it.
As a special surprise, experts from Unilever Port Sunlight visited Holy Cross Catholic High School to inspire learners. Pupils had the opportunity to complete their experiments with real-life scientists and engineers!

I especially loved the second activity where the students were creating a way to transport their tomatoes from the top of the hill to the bottom, this really got them thinking about real world problems.
