CREST Awards: Young Coders 2025

Young Coders is a competition for primary and secondary schools (Years 4-8) that aims to help adults become more confident in teaching coding skills.

Any teacher, tutor or parent can run the competition, whether they are familiar with coding or completely new to it. All the planning is done for you, so you can learn alongside your pupils or children.

This year’s theme is ‘Budgeting Better’.
“The challenge is to create a game using Scratch to teach other children about budgeting better. Imagine creating games that teach your friends how to save, spend, and manage money wisely.” – Young Coders

The Young Coders Competition is CREST Awards accredited so learners can earn a CREST Award! (Discovery level at KS2 & Bronze Level at KS3)

Register your interest now for Young Coders to access FREE resources and competition updates.
