Unilever Bright Future Inspire – STEM Showcase!
On the 28th and 29th of November, All About STEM facilitated the Bright Future Inspire Showcase Event for regional schools to participate in the Unilever Bright Future Programme hosted by Unilever Port Sunlight.
Throughout the two-day event, Unilever experts hosted various Bright Future workshops for students including formulation, packaging, recycling, digital technology, consumer technical insight and a new session on total product design.
Learners were also introduced to how the Bright Future Programme and STEM in schools can link to Unilever careers and the apprenticeship, graduate and employment routes Unilever offers.
Following the showcase, all attending pupils can take Unilever’s challenge to design their own environmentally friendly/sustainable product and return for judging in March 2025 at the Unilever Bright Future Celebration & Awards Day.
The winning team will visit Unilever Port Sunlight for a special on-site day where their product will be professionally rendered by Unilever experts to bring their idea to life!
Unilever Bright Future raises student aspirations and promotes innovation and creativity while connecting STEM in school to career pathways. Since the programme began, two previous Inspire participants & a winner have joined Unilever R&D as engineering & packaging apprentices. Amazing!

When students have completed the Bright Future Programme, they have the option to enter their projects in a range of competitions and register for a CREST Award.
