Come along to the latest edition of our STEM Hub teachers’ events at Childwall Sports & Science Academy where the topic will be Engineering. We have three short 20 min slots on the programme showcasing things available to teachers as well as time to network & ask questions.

Refreshments & Networking 4.00pm

Presentation 1 4.30pm

Mike McAteer, representing The Royal Academy of Engineering, will be talking about an engineering focused resource suitable for STEM clubs that you will be able to take away with you for free at the end of the event! He will also be looking at the Academy’s ‘Connecting Teachers’ network & how to engage with it.

Presentation 2 4.50pm

Helen Dickinson will introduce the Science Learning Partnership its targets and goals, including planned support for British Science Week 2015 & other CPD opportunities.

Presentation 3 5:10pm

MerseySTEM will be presenting about their Vex Robotic kits & the robot challenge enrichment/enhancement days that they deliver to schools using these kits. These days can be used to promote engineering careers & inspire students to pursue them.

Refreshments will be provided & if teachers wish to speak to MerseySTEM or any of the presenters individually there will be time after the talks have finished to discuss matters relevant to their school.
