IoT World Forum Young Women’s Innovation Grand Challenge

We use the internet every day: on our computers, on tablets and mobile phones. You can watch TV, make phone calls, send photos, and shop – all on the internet. But even today less than 1% of all things are connected to the internet. What happens when your microwave, your central heating, your car, or even maybe your school workbooks are connected to the internet?

Cisco is inviting schools to take part in a Global Innovation Challenge and asking how you think life could be made better by connecting everyday things together.

The challenge is open to young women between the ages of 13-18 and is designed to recognize, promote, and reward young innovators as they come up with new uses for Internet technologies.

Prizes vary from £13,000 to £5,000 to the team or individual with the best entries and the deadline is 25th March 2015.
