National Schools’ Observatory: School Resources, Primary Workshops & Careers Zone

The National Schools’ Observatory has launched a brand new Careers area on their website to inspire future scientists and support schools to meet Gatsby Benchmarks.

The new careers content focuses on the different interests students may have and the space careers that could be a good fit for them. Each section includes profiles of several ‘Career Heroes’ and showcases the diversity of the astronomy and space science sector.

New Primary Resource!

‘Space Jobs’ is a new, interactive workshop for primary schools from the National Schools’ Observatory. Pupils will develop knowledge and understanding of the different jobs available to people who enjoy space and science through class games, quizzes, and discussion. Pupils will also build awareness of gender stereotypes in STEM jobs and assess useful skills and qualities in themselves and others.
