The Kids Trial (7-12)

The Kid’s Trial is an online project created with kids for kids to learn about how we do health research.” – University of Galway.

Teachers, Parents and Carers: If your children or learners are aged 7 to 12, their brilliant minds can help shape and run a super important science mission called a randomised trial!

Previously, The People’s Trial aimed to help the public learn about randomised trials, to understand why they matter and to be better equipped to think critically about health claims. A PhD Scholar based at the University of Galway is using the same approach to work with parents and children as project partners.

The Kid’s Trial is now live and is open to receiving proposed research questions, from children, from which the ultimate research question to be answered will be selected.

It is open to children globally and can be done as a school or home-based project.

Fab fact: Children from Estonia, Ireland, Kenya, Norway, Tanzania, and the USA helped to design The Kids Trial.
