BSA: Smashing Stereotypes Discussion Pack

Following the huge success of the British Science Association’s #SmashingStereotypes campaign, the Association has released a new Smashing Stereotypes Discussion Pack to accompany their current resources.

*No, scientists don’t all look like Albert Einstein.

The Smashing Stereotypes Discussion Pack is designed for educators and parents (to share with students) and anyone interested in STEM careers. It can be used to bust myths* and open doors to discussions using the profile slide deck. Each slide introduces a STEM professional, their role and their story. They are all from different walks of life.

From the slides, you can move on to the Smashing Stereotypes videos and online profiles to learn more.

There are so many roles and opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths, but if young people don’t know about them, how can they aspire to them?

As North West Regional CREST Support OrganisationAll About Futures promote CREST Awards across the region and point schools & clubs to the support they need to run this amazing scheme. CREST Awards encourage students to work like scientists, researchers, engineers and designers to investigate and explore their own project ideas.
