Women in STEM: Where to start?

The #YourLife Twitter campaign encouraging women to work in STEM has been a huge success. There has been a flood of interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math career options and there’s a social media buzz with groups and pages popping up across the web.

But what if you don’t know where to start? Where can you find realistic advice, do you know what you may be up against and where can you find much needed inspiration?

Much has been written about the need to encourage women to embark on careers in STEM and fill the demand for future STEM employment, be they filling existing job opportunities or bringing a different perspective and creating their own posts. Though most STEM fields are dominated by men, women are now leading in some areas – female Clinical Laboratory Technologists for example are at an all-time high of 78%.

We want to keep those figures rising in all areas, so with that in mind we’ve put together a list of inspirational features from across the web. Get clicking ladies!
