BBC Micro:bit Workshops – Apply Now!
This autumn the BBC will give every 11-12 year old across the UK a free micro:bit, in turn inspiring a generation of coders. Are you ready?
The CAS BBC micro:bit roadshow will be led by expert Microsoft trainers, they’ll be providing hands-on workshops while sharing tips and ideas for using the BBC micro:bit in secondary schools.
Workshops will provide the skills to lead others and provide support for using the micro:bit in the classroom. Sessions will focus on Computer lessons.

Outcomes
• You will be introduced to the micro:bit and how it can be used to support students to develop excellent computational thinking skills in the classroom
• You will receive hands-on experience of the micro:bit, guided by expert trainers
• You will take away lesson plans and resources, including videos, technical help guides, presentations and access to micro:bit discussion forums
• You will be able to creatively plan for using the micro:bit
• You will be able to confidently lead CPD for colleagues and others using the micro:bit
