Drones STEM Hub: MerseySTEM & Beamont Collegiate Academy Phantom Flight School

Yes, we really did say PHANTOM FLIGHT SCHOOL! Team MerseySTEM have joined forces with Beamont Collegiate Academy and the Phantom Flight School to bring you a STEM Hub like no other. We’re inviting both teachers and STEM Ambassadors to get to grips with the latest drone technology and fly!

The flying Millennium Falcon may be the must-have toy this Christmas but there’s no need to queue like bots from Attack of the Clones. Come November, you can REALLY have a crack with the drones! (See what we did there?)

On the 12th November 2015 our STEM Spotlight school Beamont Collegiate Academy will be our host and the Phantom Flight School will be in attendance to give their expert tuition and advice.

You will have the opportunity to:

  1. Take part in a control and flight presentation
  2. Fly a Phantom!
  3. Learn how camera drones can support the STEM curriculum
  4. Discover the future of drones and why we need to be educating STEM students on them now!
  5. Ask the expert session.

Does it get any better than this?!

Phantom P3 Professional 1

Alan Proto of Phantom Flight School said: ” Beamont Collegiate Academy recently purchased a Phantom 3 Professional from us, to be used in their STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) curriculum. The Phantom has proven hugely popular with students and parents alike. At a recent “Flight School” on a Saturday morning, there were queues round the block of students wishing to experience the magic of flying a DJI Phantom 3.”

“We are delighted to be working with Beamont Collegiate Academy and MerseySTEM on a STEM Hub specifically about the use of camera drones in the STEM curriculum.”
