1 WEEK LEFT TO APPLY: Teacher Academic Placement Scheme

The Teacher Academic Placement Scheme runs in partnership between the National Science Learning Network and Biochemical Society. The aim of the scheme is to enable schools to partner with local university bioscience departments, providing 1 week placements for teachers, accompanied by a bespoke package of CPD support.

*There are currently spaces left at the University of Liverpool for placements in February half term but time is short to apply. The deadline is the 15th of January 2016*

The placements themselves are designed to support teachers in developing new strategies for supporting students with numeracy and practical skills in science as well as to gain valuable information about university application processes and career paths available to graduates of biochemistry and bioscience more broadly.

The cost to take part is £460, although a £900 bursary is available to state schools and FE Colleges participating in the scheme (even where the placement is outside term time and no supply cover is required).
