EXTENDED DEADLINE: Kano Computer Kits for Schools!

Attention Teachers and STEM Club Leaders!

Interested in starting a Computing Club in your school?  STEMNET has partnered with the Science Museum and Kano Computers to donate 5 Kano Kits with 5 Power Up Kits to 60 new Computing Clubs throughout the UK.

Teachers and STEM Clubs leaders are encouraged to submit a bid to [email protected] detailing how you intend to use the Kano Computers in your Computing Clubs no later than 1st February 2016.

All Clubs receiving the Kano Computers will be required to do the following in return for receiving the 5 free Kano Computers:

  • Participate in a short programme evaluation via an online form
  • By the close of the academic year, provide pictures or videos of the Computing Clubs in action using the Kano Computers
  • As part of the Computing Club, engage (either in person or online) in one of the many computing exhibits and education programmes provided by the Science Museum Group
  • Through STEMNET’s STEM Ambassadors Programme and the Tech Partnership’s TechFuture Ambassadors, liaise with your local STEMNET Contract Holder to invite a STEM Professional into your Computing Club to assist in activities, discuss careers in Computing and/or real world applications of Computing
  • Take part in a case study if requested (selected clubs will be approached separately).

Successful Clubs will be notified during National STEM Clubs Week, taking place 1st-5th, February 2016.
