Daresbury Open Week Schools Days: Register your interest!
As part of Sci-Tech Daresbury Open Week, Sci-Tech Daresbury are dedicating two full days delivering activities for school children from upper primary through to upper secondary schools!
These exciting Schools Days will give your students the chance to get up-close and personal with some world changing and awe inspiring science. There will be guided tours, talks, and interactive workshops for key stages 2, 3, 4 and 5 that will fire your students’ imagination and inspire them towards pursuing a future career in STEM.
There will be the opportunity to find out more about the world’s largest scientific experiment, with the official UK Large Hadron Collider (LHC) Roadshow, not to mention the chance to get an insight into the world’s most powerful lasers with our Incredible Power of Light exhibition.
Masterclasses are on offer for A Level students spanning nuclear and particle physics, electron microscopy, and scientific computing. While other student experiences include 3D printing, exploring a dark matter garden and even the chance to hold some real dinosaur bones!!
Registration is open now until 16 May 2016 for you to express your interest in attending. Successful schools will be notified by 20 May 2016.
