Liverpool City Region Local Enterprise Partnership: Careers and Enterprise Company Conference
Liverpool City Region Local Enterprise Partnership are hosting their first national Careers and Enterprise Company Conference in Liverpool, on Wednesday, 11th May 2016 at The BT Convention Centre, 12:30-17:00.
“We are delighted to be joined by the Secretary of State for Education, the Rt Hon. Nicky Morgan MP and Lord David Young, former Enterprise and Small Business Adviser to the Prime Minister.”
The event will provide the opportunity to:
Understand the progress made in the National Enterprise Adviser network, designed to pair one business volunteer with the leadership of each secondary school and college in the country to help build employer engagement and careers and enterprise plans. The network was launched 6 months ago in partnership with the Local Enterprise Partnerships.
Learn about the second wave of employer volunteer activity with the new national mentoring campaign, aimed at connecting employer volunteers directly to young people to reduce disengagement in the years pre-GCSE.
Meet the beneficiaries of the £5 million Careers & Enterprise Fund and identify opportunities to work with these programmes locally.
Learn about the technology and data work underway to support young people transitioning into work including the development of a digital ‘Passport’ for young people to showcase their enterprise and extra-curricular activities.
