NSO Primary Online Event: Santa’s Space Vacation!
The National Schools’ Observatory would like to invite your class to their FREE Primary Christmas Extravaganza!
Help Santa plan a holiday in space!
This interactive event is aimed specifically at pupils aged 7 – 11 years old and will engage them with the topic of Space and the Solar System in a fun and informative way whilst sending them flying into Christmas with minds full of wonder and imagination. The event will include the chance for pupils to ask astronomers questions about space.
10:30 AM – Tuesday 15th December 2020
Want your school to star in this online event?
In addition to watching the live stream, your pupils can become stars of the show! How? Just submit a video clip that helps Santa to select a Solar System destination. Get your pupils to tell Santa what planet he should visit and why…
What’s the most interesting thing in the Solar System?
What do your class want to find out more about?
Your pupils can be as creative as they like, and use acting/singing/props.
The video only needs to be between 30 seconds – 2 minutes long and can be filmed on a phone. The NSO will edit videos together to create part of Santa’s Space Vacation that will be broadcast during the live event.
Please email by Monday 30th November if you intend to submit a video and NSO will provide you with further information.
All videos will need to be submitted to the NSO by Monday 7th December.
Submission of a video is optional and voluntary.
You do not need to submit a video to join the event.
