ESERO Primary: ESA Astronaut Logbook

Primary learners can discover what life is like for astronauts aboard the International Space Station with the ESA Astronaut Logbook!

The astronaut logbook introduces pupils to a typical week on the ISS as they compare an astronaut’s diet, exercise, hobbies and clothing with their own.

“The logbook takes the form of a workbook which pupils complete whilst learning about the International Space Station and what astronauts do when they are in space. A literacy exercise asks pupils to answer questions about an astronaut’s diet from a diary entry and understand some of the limitations of food choices in space. It also looks at the skills needed to work as a team.”

This is also a fantastic introductory resource if your students are starting Mission X: Train Like An Astronaut!

ESERO UK: ESERO aims to use the context of space to open doors for young people by delivering engaging, world-class teaching in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Working alongside STEM Learning, ESERO-UK is funded by the European Space Agency, the UK Space Agency, and the Science and Technology Facilities Council
