The All About STEM Competition – Closing Date Extended!

The closing date for The All About STEM Competition has been extended to Monday, the 30th of June at 5 pm.
“Students can design their posters in class, club or at home. We have had so many amazing entries already, we can’t wait to see more!”
The All About STEM Competition, sponsored by Unilever aims to open up the world of STEM to young people across the North West by inviting them to ‘develop a new product, item, idea or approach which solves a problem facing our world or the people in it.’
Previous winning ideas include an emergency spy clip, community recycling, waterproof clothing made from landfill and edible water bottles.
How about designing a robot home assistant, a support solution for people in need, a sustainable product or a planet-friendly programme for your school? The options are endless!
The Competition is open to young people aged 9-16 from the North West – Cumbria, Lancashire, Merseyside, Greater Manchester and Cheshire. Entries from teams or individuals are welcome, whether entrants are at school, home or part of a community group. Visit the competition microsite for a wealth of resources and ideas.

All About STEM is making it happen across the North West. We work on lots of different projects to bring exciting Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics to schools across the region, linking them with business and industry expert volunteers inspiring the next generation of STEM specialists.
