NQT/RQT Secondary Science Conference

What is it?
The School of Education and Professional Learning at LJMU is hosting the second of the three “Dream, Plan, Achieve” conferences which will focus on the challenges faced by NQTs and RQTs working in secondary science.
The main focus of the conference will “Planning” and the keynote address will be delivered by Brian Cartwright, National HMI lead for Science, and author of the Report “Maintaining Curiosity”. Brian worked as chemistry and physics teacher in the East Midlands before taking up a secondary headship in Shropshire. Brian joined Ofsted eight years ago, and led the rapid response survey team before taking up the National advisor for Science role last autumn.
Who is it for?
The conference is aimed at New and Recently Qualified secondary science teachers; education managers and currently practicing science teachers in the North West region. This is a CPD event and an opportunity to network and establish emerging discussion in the contemporary context of science education.
