UK Space Agency: Principia Grant Scheme

The UK Space Agency has just opened it’s Principia Grant Scheme. Take one small stem and apply… you could end up with a giant leap!

The Agency is making up to £100K available to organisations that are seeking to run schemes that support the education and outreach opportunities presented by Tim Peake’s mission to the International Space Station.  They expect to fund between 2 and 10 proposals and the scheme is open to both organisations and individuals who meet the eligibility criteria.

This opportunity will be supplemented in due course by a further announcement for schools.

Applications are now welcome, and must be received by 9am on Friday 27 March 2015.

Applications will be judged in a 2 stage process. Applicants should complete the preliminary application form and return it to the UK Space Agency no later than 9am on Friday 27 March 2015.  All applications received will be reviewed and a long list of proposals selected by Friday 2 April 2015. Applications on the long list will be invited to submit a full, detailed proposal of their scheme to the UK Space Agency by Friday 17 April.

Full details of the scheme, and the application form can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/government/news/principia-grant-scheme.
