MerseySTEM’s Chemistry at Work Event: A STEM-sational Success!
A huge thank you to our sponsors, The Royal Society of Chemistry and AstraZeneca, our hosts, Knowsley Community College, our instructors and attending school groups for making our Chemistry at Work event such a huge success!
The attendees had an awesome day, getting hands-on with all manner of amazing activities. The day was packed with experiments including contamination challenges, extracting natural dye from red cabbages and making bath bombs!
Science 2 U, Techniquest Glyndŵr, AstraZeneca and Knowsley Community College went above and beyond, offering fun interactive projects that made Chemistry fun!
Chemistry at Work events offer school students the opportunity to appreciate the place of chemistry in everyday life and the world of work, with particular emphasis on what is happening in their local area.
They aim to show a positive image of the chemical sciences and to present them as exciting, interesting and wealth-creating activities that are worth considering as the basis of a career.
