There’s only 7 days to go until Timstar’s Spring Workshops begin!
This series of hands-on workshops provide a range of ideas and practical methods for teaching A-Level Biology, Chemistry and Physics. These workshops will also cover the analysis that is now required, so you do not want to miss out! These 1-day course held at the Timstar Laboratory running from 9:30am – 3:30pm will cost £50 per person, per course.
The workshops starting next week are as follows:
Workshop 1: Refreshing Practical Biology 2
Date: Wednesday 20th April 2016
Details: Refreshing Practical Biology 2 will cover microbiology including using broth cultures, dissection of plant material and identification of biological molecules, ecological sampling techniques, spirometry and electrophoresis.
Workshop 2: Using Data Logging in your A-Level Science Practicals
Date: Tuesday 26th April 2016
Details: Incorporating Data Logging into your A-Level practical modules including uses in Biology, Chemistry and Physics such as colorimetry, speed of sound in a solid and G by Free Fall.
Workshop 3: Meet Practical Endorsement Requirements for A-Level Physics
Date: Wednesday 27th April 2016
Details: NEW Physics A-Level workshop providing a detailed look at how to meet the practical endorsement requirements in A-Level Physics. A hands–on workshop of the practicals that can be delivered around the topics of gamma radiation, gas laws and interference effects.
