The Big Bang North West 2016: Liverpool will erupt with innovation!
On the 5th of July 2016, The Big Bang North West hits The Exhibition Centre Liverpool and the region will erupt with ingenuity and innovation!
The Big Bang North West is a STEM celebration for school children and part of a programme led by EngineeringUK. Big Bang events enable young people to discover the exciting and rewarding STEM based careers available in their local area via fun, hands-on activities. Adding to the excitement, the event hosts the semi-final of The Big Bang UK Young Scientists & Engineers Competition.
Visitors to the event can hop on a Viking Longboat, race the fastest man on earth and enjoy fire shows, dry ice, gadgets, robots, coding, forensics, creatures, slime, medical magic and so much more. CBBC’s Gastronut Stefan Gates will also be performing with some explosive food science!
Organisers MerseySTEM, are well known for doing incredible things to promote Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths in schools, business, the community & beyond. After running The Big Bang North West for three years, popularity has multiplied, leading the team to move the event to the new Exhibition Centre on Liverpool’s iconic waterfront. It’s going to be the biggest and best yet!
