SLP Greater Merseyside & Warrington: FREE Triple Science Network of Excellence!
Be part of the FREE Triple Science Network of Excellence with Greater Merseyside & Warrington Science Learning Partnership…
This network will consider what effective teaching and learning of triple science looks like and is intended for teachers that have a range of experience of teaching physics, chemistry or biology at KS4. Each network meeting will have its own focus, ranging from curriculum planning, to EAL, to maths skills in triple science.
This session will be led by Derek Stanley and will explore the key generic skill areas developed in the revised Triple Science specifications that explicitly prepare pupils for the transition to A Level and other Level 3 study routes.
Skills explored will include:
- Information retrieval
- Listening and observing
- Scientific reading
- Data representation
- Scientific writing
- Knowledge Presentation
Where: Toxteth Annexe, L17 7BN
When: Friday 27th April 2018, 1pm – 3pm (with a light lunch from 12.30)
