All About STEM NEWS
Schools! The Bright Future Programme is now ONLINE!
Amazing news! For a limited time, schools in Merseyside & Cheshire can download everything they need to get involved in the Bright Future Programme.
The Bright Future Aspire Project is a bespoke digital programme, co-created by Unilever, All About STEM and local teachers. It is aimed at students in Y10-13. Following successful registration on the programme, teachers are able to download video content, supporting material and teacher guides to enable them to facilitate the programme with their students in class.
Students often struggle to imagine the different options available to them with a career in STEM. Unilever experts explain what jobs they do and students get the opportunity to put what they learn into practice with a series of real business challenges resulting in the potential to win great prizes.
The project consists of 4 modules, during which, students are introduced to staff working in 5 departments across the Unilever Research and Development site at Port Sunlight, gaining an insight into the work of the company, the different job roles available and the entry requirements and routes. After viewing the videos and presentations, there are tasks for students to complete. Students are set the challenge of developing a product idea which they submit online to Unilever for judging.
Keep your eyes peeled… the Bright Future Inspire project for Year 8 & 9 is launching soon!
