The Big Sunflower Project: Raise Awareness with FREE Seeds!
The aim of the Big Sunflower Project is to raise awareness of the rare neuromuscular conditions Centronuclear and Myotubular Myopathy. Team All About STEM have taken part for six years & the project is celebrating it’s 10th year! It’s great fun for individuals, schools and STEM Clubs and a fantastic way to spread the word.

How the project works: The Big Sunflower Project raises awareness by sending sunflower seeds to people who have never heard of the conditions and requesting photos in return. Each year the photos are posted online which again raises awareness of the conditions.
There is no charge for seeds or for the cost of postage, they do, however, welcome donations to ensure the future of the project and to enable seeds to be sent to as many people as possible each year.
If you would like to apply for sunflower seeds for The Big Sunflower Project 2020, please submit your request using this application form.
The project welcomes participation from anyone. The only criteria for taking part, is that you are willing to have a go and to share your photos and stories with the project.

Those taking part will be added to the project map. There are stories and photos there as well as pages about how the project began and on growing and harvesting sunflower seeds.
Seeds are subject to availability. If you are chosen to receive seeds, you will receive an email with further information about taking part and it will be announced on the project social media pages when your seeds are posted.
Anyone is welcome to apply for seeds but priority will be given to families affected by centronuclear and myotubular myopathy, community groups, educational establishments and good causes.
